Reflex & Allen chooses Moretto

The British distributor for Moretto, TH Plastics, has entered into a major contract with a global supplier of solutions for the automotive industry. A metering and drying system has been delivered to the Welsh factory of the Italian company Reflex & Allen. The installation was needed to replace the equipment in use and to allow easy and efficient management of an increasingly sophisticated process.
The distributor proposed a turnkey solution - it included system design, equipment, testing, installation, preliminary operations and energy supply - which was then submitted to a trial period lasting a month at the processor's facilities. The supply scope included gravimetric and volumetric blenders, from the DGM and DVM series respectively, Eureka drying systems and three-stage suction units for material transport.
These machines have made it possible to optimise the efficiency of the process, maximise energy savings, slash production costs, increase the plant uptime and improve the quality of the finished product. Energy consumption testing, still in progress, has shown savings in the order of 40%. "We have benefited from a competitively priced system with proven reliability", remarked Chris Ackroyd, engineering manager at Reflex & Allen. "We have been so impressed, so early on in the relationship, that we have already commissioned TH Plastics with another project and believe they are capable of being long-term global partners."
