Two lines for PET coextrusion in Croatia
A Croat converter has commissioned two complete lines from Union for the co-extrusion of PET sheet for containers and tubs for packaging fresh food products and produce. Both lines boast low energy consumption and extensive use of regenerated material.
Each line includes a main ZP 92X/52D co-rotating twin-screw extruder with triple degassing and high output (up to 1,000 kg/h) and two co-extruders - a ZP 58X/48D co-rotating twin-screw and a TR 75 single-screw - that permit the production of sheets with A-B-C-B-A configuration, especially well-suited for technical applications as well as food packaging. The lines also include an FIS 45° inclined calender with three cylinders powered by independent motors and a cross-axis system to achieve reduced, uniform thicknesses. The effective extrusion width is between 850 and 1000 mm.
