PVC recycling: that's what Presma does
With its "rotary injection moulding machines", Presma is contributing to recycling post-consumer thermoplastic and other plastic waste as well as process scrap.
For some years now, a number of models of this injection presses, which still today represent the company's core business, has been destined to the moulding of recycled thermoplastic resins; among these, the Roto PVC machines have been specifically developed by Presma for the processing of PVC regrind from electrical cables without the need for separating the PVC from the other resins and elastomers which are normally incorporated into cables in relatively small quantities.
Since 2001, when Presma launched their first rotary press for the moulding of large parts from PVC regrind, the company has delivered 6, 8, and 12 station versions to European processors. In mid-May this year a new 9-station model was delivered that is able to process over 1,000 kg/h of polymers. This press is destined for the production of a variety of bases for road signals up to the weight of 35-38 kg.
