Short tack-free times for a greater production efficiency
The new Fast-Cure two-component polyurethane (PU) foam seal systems developed by Sonderhoff are tack-free in less than three minutes. As a result, sealed industrial parts can quickly move to the subsequent production process, without requiring intermediate storage costs. Additional costs for the purchase of furnaces aimed at accelerating the curing reaction of Sonderhoff systems are also not needed, seeing that this reaction occurs at room temperature.
The fast reacting Fast-Cure foam seals of the Fermapor K31 product family have a low water absorption. Some of them, in mutual combination with the sealed part, even meet the protection class IP69K, classification developed for areas where extra protection is needed against high-pressure and high-temperature.
The use of these systems is particularly useful for all those applications that require high production speeds, as it is the case, for example, of the automobile door modules and of the control cabinet panels.
