Benchtop sphere spectrophotometer
At Plast 2015 exhibition (stand A133, hall 11) X-Rite and its subsidiary Pantone will unveil its next-generation benchtop sphere spectrophotometer, the new Ci7800. This new spectrophotometer enables customers to achieve consistent colour across the entire plastics supply chain - from concept design through to final product. The next generation Ci7800 Benchtop Sphere Spectrophotometer includes new features that reduce errors and improve productivity throughout the plastics manufacturing processes. The Ci7800 delivers excellent sample-to-sample colour measurement, from raw materials all the way through to the delivery of a colour-perfect product. Francesco Tomasello, vice-president Sales for EMEA at X-Rite says: “Ensuring end-to-end colour perfection in the plastics supply chain is a critical component of lean manufacturing. That is why we created the Ci7800. It gives brand owners, compounders, quality control professionals, and plastic manufacturers the ability to ensure that colour specifications and tolerances are met throughout each step in the supply chain. We look forward to introducing the Plast community to this exciting new solution”. At Plast 2015, X-Rite Pantone will also highlight their range of colour measurement and management solutions for the plastics industry, including:
- portable and compact spectrophotometers, including 45/0 spectrophotometers, that serve as a foundation for colour control programs, making it easy and efficient for plastic manufacturers or suppliers to understand, manage and control colour at any stage of production;
- pocket-sized spectrocolourimeter that can be used to compare the colours of lab samples or plastic parts in the field with reference standards, and then create reports that can be shared with supply chain partners;
- advanced quality control software that reduces guesswork in evaluating colour, reduces colour formulation costs and allows verification, optimization and certification of performance of colour measurement devices;
- Pantone Essentials and the Pantone PLUS Standard plastic chip collection, a reliable standard against which to match materials and products throughout the supply chain and to ensure accurate colour specification.
