Aptitude for innovation
For almost forty years, Friul Filiere (stand C 22, hall 13) has operated in the plastic extrusion sector, today specialising in the development of turnkey projects and complete plants for special profiles. Plast has always been an important event for the all-Italian company which has exhibited here since the Eighties, representing the excellence of Italian manufacturing. This year, in particular, the Milan fair is attracting a lot of interest with a number of events happening over the span of days, Friul Filiere is taking advantage to welcome an international audience at its impressive stand rich with innovative proposals, the fruit of its research and development.
Novelties for the Friuli-based company are not just a habit, but also an aptitude. Research forms the basis for its philosophy and work, and again at Plast 2015 it is presenting two freshly patented technologies: one for high-speed extrusion of microducts for I&T applications; the other bringing the company into the housing sector for the first time "This might be surprising, but forty years of history means we can change in order to respond flexibly to the needs of new markets, while remaining true to ourselves," Valdi Artico and his daughter Luna told us, CEO and Administrator of Friul Filiere respectively.
In addition to complete projects for technological profiles, dedicated to the most diverse fields of applications, 3 examples of extruders is also on display - a small U30, a single-screw Omega 80 and a twin-screw R53 - equipped with dies for technological profiles. It derives from the company's historic production range and delivers solid energy savings while ensuring high production efficiency, on this occasion proposed with an updated, more intuitive HMI interface, which has a simulator so visitors can test all the new functions: complete extrusion line management; alarm storage; management of production recipes; recording of the main process variables in solid state memory - such as extrusion zone temperatures, line speed, and electric current required by the motors; remote assistance; remoting system for the operator panel on PC or tablet; interface (upon request) with production management systems.
