Mettler Toledo at Greenplast puts accuracy and analysis precision in the spotlight

At the coming Greenplast show, scheduled at Fiera Milano from 3 to 6 May 2022, Mettler Toledo will be exhibiting stand (B 75, hall 14) its most recent innovations in the field of thermal analysis for the characterisation of materials as well as analysis instruments for laboratory tests.

To perform potentiometric analyses of all types, the automatic titrator TY will be exhibited in combination with powerful automation options, including InMotion KF, dedicated to the measurement of  moisture in plastic materials. For the determination of the moisture content of raw materials but also of plastic semi-finished products, the HX204 moisture analyser will be presented, which makes simplicity of use and process speed its strengths. 

Analytical and precision balances will be exhibited as instruments of excellence for extremely accurate weighing of formulations and the measurement of the density of materials. An indispensible tool for material characterisation, the DSC 3+ differential scanning calorimeter makes it possible to analyse several key parameters, including melting point, crystallinity, glass transition point, purity and content of polluting materials.

Instruments for TGA (thermogravimetric analysis) will also be presented at the fair that are able to offer reliable results and to simultaneously acquire the DSC signal (differential scanning calorimetry) of the analysed samples for easy detection of the composition of materials and to obtain information on the percentages of solvents, polymers and any fillers in the different compounds. Finally, for dynamic-mechanical analyses, the DMA 1 instrument will be proposed, which allows the measurement of the mechanical and viscoelastic properties of thermoplastic materials, thermosets, elastomers etc.
