New products for tanks and much more
Simona has developed a new tank calculation program for the industry market segment. It features state-of-the-art computation functionality in accordance with DVS, in addition to boasting an intuitive user interface together with outstanding quality and reliability. Visitors to the K show can test the new application live.
The company's product range has been extended to include fully fluorinated plastics. At K, the focus will be on Simona's portfolio of semi-finished parts made of PFA. Simona PFA is available as a backed and non-backed sheet for tank lining. Owing to the sheet's special width of 1,500 mm, the number of weld seams can be reduced significantly. This, in turn, helps to improve tank reliability and safety for operators.
The company will also be unveiling its PE 100 AP-Line at the trade fair, a new product range encompassing multilayer pipes, sheets and fittings designed to deliver improved wear protection.
Within the market segment of construction the focus will be on next-generation products within the Simowood made of Resysta portfolio. This includes a new IMO-certified product targeted at the shipbuilding industry. Combining the appearance and haptics of wood, the large-sized sheets are made primarily of rice husks.
Among the new products to be introduced within the agriculture segment is the third generation of Simona twin-wall sheets. This innovative lightweight product has been further refined and combines the benefits of an isotropic core structure and reduced thickness with consistently high stability - now also for use as a component in air scrubbers and livestock pens. The aforementioned product also offers a number of advantages in the existing field of application of tank construction. Featuring a new lattice structure within its core, it offers the benefits of premium quality and excellent durability.
Simona will also be presenting highly weather- and corrosion-resistant pipes for bridge protection as well as its pipe and fittings portfolio for biogas converters - featuring excellent chemical resistance and UV stability.
Within the market segment centred around mobility the emphasis will be on a highly versatile product line developed by Simona subsidiary Boltaron. Boltaron 9815 is available as a calendered, extruded or press-laminated sheet product for aircraft interiors and is compliant with strict FFA and Easa standards regarding flammability, smoke generation and heat release. In addition to boasting a wide range of design options, Boltaron 9815 offers excellent impact strength as well as high abrasion and chemical resistance together with superb thermoformability.
