Say it with a flower
By giving its new range of all-electric injection moulding machines the name Flower, Ripress wants to immediately highlight its strengths: energy saving and low environmental impact. The original project was based on the company's intention to develop a product ensuring high performance levels without requiring excessive initial investment; or, in other words, the intention to offer machines featuring best value for money.
The new range, exhibited at K 2013 (in which Ripress participated for the first time in its history) in the 110 tons version, also includes machines with clamping forces of 150 and 230 tons; these three versions, according to the manufacturer, ideally allow customers to successfully compete with their rivals, mostly European companies, operating in the general application sector, i.e. the application field these machines are designed for.
All the Flower models distinguish themselves for screws with L/D ratio of 20:1 and an injection speed of 250 mm/s; the three versions feature opening strokes of 380, 440 and 550 respectively, while the tie-bar distances are 460 x 460, 520 x 520 and 620 x 620 mm. The company carefully chose the press components among the most high-end and energy-efficient ones already tested and available on the market. Particularly noteworthy are the ballscrews, manufactured by Japan-based NSK, and the electronic control system, supplied by Beckhoff. The machine bed is made in China, where mechanical assembly is carried out too, while the finishing, characterisation and testing stages take place at the Italian facility.
