New robot

During PLAST 2012 (Fiera Milano, Hall 22, stand A15), Campetella Robotic Center, based in Montecassiano (Macerata, Italy), is introducing its new robot for fast injection moulding on large machines. The new SM3 model is part of the Side Entry range with 3 fully programmable electrical axes and a rotary wrist to overturn articles taken from the mould.
The robot has a wrist load capacity of 12 kg and can be mounted on injection moulding machines up to 800 tons, thus offering all the advantages of side entry robots (fast intervention speed on presses, aptitude for fast moulding, short-stroke-low-time), combined with the flexibility which only a 3-axis standard robot can offer.
