Gneuss spin-off dedicated to sensors and measurement systems
Gneuss Kunststofftechnik, a manufacturer of systems for plastics processing and recycling, is reorganising its sensor and measurement technology activities. As of 1 May, the operational business in this field will be transferred to the newly founded Gneuss MC. This move responds to the division’s growth and the increasing technological complexity of its products in recent years, which have made a more autonomous organisational and operational structure necessary.
Gneuss MC will consolidate all activities within the measurement and controls division, including the transfer of employees working in these areas, creating the structural framework needed for future development. The company will focus on the development of sensors for pressure and temperature measurement in extrusion processes under demanding conditions, such as high abrasion and corrosion. Particular attention will be given to both standardised and custom-designed solutions, as well as digital and RFID-based technologies.
“With this spin-off, we are creating the structural conditions to consistently develop our sensor and measurement technologies and to strengthen our position as a technology leader in the long term,” said CEO Stephan Gneuss.
