Extrusion of Recycled PET

Union di San Vittore Olona (MI) is exhibiting a TR160S extruder equipped with an FI 1400 calender at PLAST 2012 (Hall 13, Stand B01) to process 100% recycled PET in the form of post-consumer flakes.
At the same time, Union is also showing a complete double-degassing, energy-saving PET sheet extrusion line in operation at its plant. The line uses flakes from post-consumer bottles or thermoforming scrap with no need for drying or crystallization of the raw materials.
