Egyptian echo

Among the thousands of foreign visitors at PLAST 2012 there was a delegation of Egyptian professionals organized by the ICE Office in Cairo in collaboration with ASSOCOMAPLAST.
In particular, it is worth noting that according to EPEMA (the Egyptian trade association) and the Egyptian Chamber of Chemical Industries – Plastic Division, the local plastic and rubber market reached a turnover of approximately 4.5 billion USD in 2011, with total investments of 4 billion USD and a growth of 10% compared with the previous year.
In 2011, the imports of plastics and rubber processing machinery have also recorded a 21% increase, reaching 189 million USD. Italy was confirmed as the third supplier of Egypt with a turnover of 24 million USD and a 12.7% market share, preceded by Germany in the first position with 54 million USD and a 28.65% market share and China in the second position with 43 million USD and a 22.65% market share.
