40 years for Control Techniques
On October 4, 2013 Control Techniques celebrated its 40th anniversary. This UK company - a subsidiary of the Emerson Industrial Automation group delivering motion control solutions and technologies - was founded on October 4, 1973 with the name KTK. It then changed its name to Control Techniques on December 9, 1985, and on November 30, 1994 was taken over by Emerson. The company's president, Enrique Viseras Miñarro, expressed his satisfaction for this important milestone: "I am proud to be at the helm of this great company. I would like to thank all employees, even those who no longer work with us, for their intense work thanks to which Control Techniques has become a world leader with a successful history. Last year, Control Techniques launched Unidrive M, the first family of products specifically dedicated to manufacturing automation applications. In the near future the company will also deliver new product lines aimed at other individual major markets. I am firmly convinced that the constant attention that we pay to technological innovation will ensure continuous success to our company." Control Techniques has production, engineering and design operations in the United Kingdom, the United States, France, China and India, as well as sales offices in over 100 countries. Currently, it employs a staff of approximately 1971.
