After the first edition held in Bologna in 2023, JEC Forum Italy returns to Cernobbio (Como, Italy) on 11 and 12 June. This event, dedicated to composite materials and their applications, is organised in Italy by JEC Group and Assocompositi. Once again, the forum will bring together the Italian composites community, promoting the local composites ecosystem and facilitating dialogue among companies, research and development centres, and application sectors in the Mediterranean area. The choice of Villa Erba in Cernobbio, at the heart of Lombardy, is a deliberate one by the organisers. Lombardy, a key region for economic development, is not only a hub for the composites industry but also a model of innovation and economic dynamism, hosting leading companies in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and consumer goods.

The event will revolve around three main pillars. Business meetings, the core of the event, will be enabled by a digital platform available prior to the forum, allowing participants to plan a schedule of interactions. This ensures targeted and effective networking opportunities among key players in the sector. Business meetings will offer a unique opportunity to establish strategic partnerships, discover the latest innovations, and develop new business opportunities. Technical conferences organised by Assocompositi will focus on innovation in manufacturing techniques for the transport, marine, and aerospace sectors, as well as sustainability in the production of composite materials and resins. In addition, there will be company workshops to showcase products and solutions, as well as roundtable discussions. Innovation, highlighted by the second Italian edition of the JEC Startup Booster, a competition for startups in the composites and advanced materials industry. The goal of the competition is to evaluate, reward, and promote the best innovations.

“After the hugely successful first edition in Bologna, I am eagerly looking forward to the upcoming JEC Forum Italy, which already promises to be an excellent event. Once again, thanks to the presence of key players in the Italian composites industry, this event will be an extraordinary opportunity to support and promote our sector while developing related business opportunities,” said Anne-Carole Barbarin, JEC Regional Events Director and Director of JEC Forum Italy.

“We are very pleased to renew our collaboration with JEC for this second edition of JEC Forum Italy. This year, we have chosen to host the event in Lombardy as it is a crucial region for the Italian economy and home to major players in this sector. This forum represents an important platform for networking, offering new business opportunities, particularly in strategic areas of the composites industry”, added Roberto Frassine, President of Assocompositi.

Participation in the event is limited to 500 attendees, requires accreditation, and includes access to the digital matchmaking platform, the forum, technical conferences, and the networking evening.
