Strengthenings in China

After the launch of the multi-purpose-plant in Zhenjiang, Clariant strengthens its presence in China with the official opening of its new local headquarters in Shanghai on October 20, 2010. The new facility also includes a technical application center for pigments. In the meanwhile the company has announced the start-up of its Quinacridon pigment joint venture in Hangzhou. Furthermore, a ethoxylation facility in Dayabay, the industrial hub in Southern China, is currently under construction and should be opened towards mid 2011.
