Stars and stripes for blow moulding
An AT400D blow moulding machine from Automa - headquartered in Crespellano, near Bologna (Italy) - has recently been installed at the Currier Plastics factory in Auburn (New York), where an AT700D machine from the Italian manufacturer has already been in operation since July 2010. With the new machine, which required an investment of approx. 400,000 dollar, the US processor will improve its blow moulding capacity thanks to shorter cycle times and will be able to offer higher quality containers also thanks to a better control of wall thickness and in-machine deflashing.
