From the sack to the silos
Campetella Robotic Center of Montecassiano (Massa Carrara, Italy) has developed a cartesian robot for automatic provisioning of raw materials silos. The robot takes a sack of material from the pallet using a special gripping system, opens it, pours the granulate into the hopper and places the empty sack on the recovery belt.
The system has two pallet stations. Protection systems with controlled opening systems for pallet placement ensure safety of pallet unloading operations. Each loading hopper is equipped with level sensors that activate the filling cycle.
