Cost-effective packaging

To produce packaging and also cut energy costs, Negri Bossi has recently developed a number of solutions based on the Janus Smart Energy hybrid injection moulding machines equipped with built-in Sytrama robots. These machines offer not only high injection speed and overlapping of all movements but also an excellent thermal balance thanks to their capacity to reuse the braking energy that is generated by the considerable speed variations necessary in the production of packaging. In this way, the user obtains consumption levels similar to those of full electric presses but with the advantages of higher performances and easy management. Basically, at the end of the first automatic injection moulding cycle, the control system verifies a number of processing parameters and, acting on the machine management parameters, finds the right conditions for making optimum use of the energy. In this way, noise levels and the heat transferred to the hydraulic oil are reduced, allowing further energy savings.
