More efficient filtration thanks to the metallic net, now on automatic screen changers

After 8 years of testing and development Fimic - the Italian manufacturer of automatic and self-cleaning screen changers for the extrusion of recycled plastics - will be exhibiting the new NET filtration system at K 2016. This systems is able to use mesh-type screens, normally applied in manual screen changers only, as a result guaranteeing a more efficient filtration and improved process quality.

The new product makes it possible for Fimic to supply the market with scraping, backflushing and metallic net filtration systems, and now with three fully automatic screen changers to avoid the operator’s presence during the extrusion process.

Being aware of the importance of the filtration process, Fimic constantly invests in the research and development of new technological solutions to give processors that use recycled materials the possibility to adapt the filtering technology to their own materials and needs. The new system does not require any modification of the extruder’s software and  no temporary melt storage is needed.

The company has recently posted a new corporate video to underline the originality of its products and the painstaking care used in their development. The video can be watched at https://youtu.be/9NeIzDPdYWE
