Circular fashion with the jacket in recyclable PA 6

Blazing a trail in circular innovation, Napapijri has seamlessly combined breakthrough technology, cutting-edge design, and sustainability with the launch of Skidoo Infinity, a jacket designed to be 100% recycled and made from Econyl recycled material from Aquafil.

Developed, tested, and fine-tuned over the course of three years, Skidoo Infinity is the latest and most advanced iteration of Napapijri’s iconic Skidoo jacket, which was first designed in 1987. The innovation breakthrough comes from the mono-material composition of the jacket. Skidoo Infinity’s filling and trims are made from PA 6, while its fabric is made from Econyl, a high-performance PA 6 yarn recycled from discarded fishing nets and other waste materials.

Using one material allows for an easier recycling process, where fibres are upcycled without losing any of their original characteristic or quality, which means that Econyl regenerated PA can be recycled again and again. By building Skidoo Infinity using PA 6, Napapijri has created a virtuous circle where the jacket can be recycled and reimagined infinitely.

The project marks a decisive step in Napapijri’s quest for innovative solutions in circular fashion.
