Alessandro Grassi takes over 100% of Frigosystem

In the fiftieth year in business of frigosystem, managing director Alessandro Grassi (in the photo) has acquired 100% of its shares, becoming CEO and the sole shareholder in the enterprise. It is an important acquisition that seals a path of growth and consolidation for the group, which today includes six companies, three of which are overseas branches.

"I have been working in the family business since I got my degree and I have always passionately supported the project begun half a century ago by my family. The formal handover was fundamental to give to the market a clear signal - that we are investing, expanding, and further strengthening Frigosystem position in the global industrial refrigeration sector," Alessandro Grassi said.

Following in the footsteps of his parents, with whom he had also been at odds in the past, Grassi has been working at the helm for some decades: international markets and industry institutions recognize him as the face of the company based in Caronno Pertusella (near Varese), which has never stopped innovating and which today exports to more than 50 countries. Amid the current instability and the crisis that has hit some competitors, the transaction is relevant as it joins the slew of investments that Frigosystem is making. Very recently, in fact, it also purchased a site that doubles its production area.

"I thank my staff who have always expressed their esteem and honest trust in me and my vision. I believe I have grown together with many of them, together we have made important steps and laid down solid foundations. We still have many opportunities and we will have the tenacity to seize them," Grassi concluded.
