Environmental sustainability
Aquafil di Arco (Trento, Italy) won second place in the "Environmental Sustainability" section of the first edition of the BMW Supplier Innovation Awards (out of 500 contestant companies). The prize was awarded at the German automaker's International Supplier Forum on Monday, 7 November 2011 in Munich.
The BMW jury recognised Aquafil's ability to innovate while maintaining consistent performance levels and environmental sustainability criteria through broad investment in R&D and in the Econyl project, which recovers and recycles polyamide 6-based post-industrial and post-consumer scrap or waste.
