Trim Recovery

The Recotrim trim and film waste pelletizing unit is produced by Macchi SpA of Venegono Inferiore (Varese, Italy). The patented system can be used in-line with an extrusion plant or installed and used autonomously.
A co-rotating twin screw melts and plasticizes the material forcing it through a specifically designed extrusion die. An adjustable speed cutting system converts the strands into granules of the desired size. These pellets are air cooled using a vortex system and transferred into a spiral device for further cooling. The production capacity ranges from 7 to 40 kg/h depending on the type of material.
