Non-wood wood
Friul Filiere, headquartered in Buia (Udine, Italy), has recently delivered to a South American processor a number of extrusion lines for FFC (Foam Fibre Composite) decking profiles based on the technology specifically developed by the company for such a material. These lines feature conical twin-screw extruders, and units producing a high quality finish take the place of traditional painting systems. The Valley-Printing system specifically developed for decking includes a Paint-X printing machine operating in synchrony with an embossing unit to create a realistic wood-grain pattern on the profiles.
